It’s back again. After the joys of midweek Premier League, the players line up once again for Gameweek 15 the weekend. Changes for Gameweek 15 need to be finalized by 11:30 (GTM) on the 06th of December. So be sure to get your teams in.
1) Christian Eriksen £8.0m (Tottenham)
Having now made it through their tricker fixtures of Everton and Chelsea, Tottenham now have an easier run to Christmas a fixture list of Crystal Palace (Home), Swansea (Away), Burnley (Home), Leicester (Away). Gameweek 15 has Tottenham back at home to Crystal Palace. Eriksen was one of the standout players of last season, but has has a comparatively slow start to the season. But with a goal and assists against Hull, and a goal against Everton last weekend, Eriksen is beginning to find the kind of form that won him glowing reviews last term. Only Yaya Toure has had more attempts on goal by a midfield player this season, he’s shot happy and looking to get on the score sheet. Definitely one to watch over the coming weeks.
2) Lukasz Fabianski £5.2m (Swansea)
Swansea racked up their 6th clean sheet of the season midweek at home to QPR. That’s the same number of clean sheet as Chelsea defenders, and only one fewer than Southampton (who have a tough two months of fixtures). Swansea defenders are a much cheaper option at the back than Chelsea defenders, and performing just as well. (Especially at home, 4 of their clean sheets have been at home.) So any Fantasy Premier League managers who still have Southampton defenders or goalkeepers in their team, Swansea players look like a nice same value swap. 11% of teams still have Fraser Forster between the sticks, so the values of Fabianski or Aston Villa’s Brad Guzan are likely to increase over the next few weeks as more managers cut Saints players.
3) Danny Ings £5.8m (Burnley)
We’ve been plugging Charlie Austin as the cheaper alternative up front the past few weeks, but another striker at the cheaper end of the scale who has been racking up the points is Burnley’s Danny Ings. With 3 goals and an assist over the past 3 gameweeks, Ings has been a top performer and keeping Burnley in touch with the pack. Gameweek 15 sees Burnnely travel to London to take on Queens Park Ranger who have been struggling for form themselves. That’s shaping up to be a relegation 6 pointer already, and neither side will be wanting to lose it and be cut adrift. Lets not forget that Ings scored 21 goals for Burnley last season in the Championship, so he knows where the back of the net is. At 5.8 he’s slightly cheaper than Austin, and with only 2% of teams selecting him, could be a good differentiator to earn you some points.
