We now look ahead to Gameweek 13 of the Fantasy Premier League and make our top picks for players to watch. Changes for Gameweek 13 need to be finalized by 11:30am on the 29th of November.
1) Oscar £8.5m (Chelsea)
With over 50% of teams having already invested big money in Fabregas and Diego Costa, a cheaper alternative for those looking to capitalise on Chelsea’s good form this year may want to take a look at Oscar. Gameweek 13 sees Chelsea visit Sunderland, who have have let in 19 goals in their first 12 Premier League matches this season. This included a massive 8-0 thumping at the hands of second place Southampton. Oscar has become a regular starter for Chelsea and with 3 goals and 3 assists this year so far, he’s contributing to their attacking flair. Oscar picked up an assist in Gameweek 12 from a nice cross to find Diego Cost in the box. A big number could be on the cards is Sunderland defend like they did against the Saints, so if you don’t have big money to spend, Oscar may fit into your budget as a nice cheaper alternative.
2) Paul Dummett £4.3m (Newcastle)
Having won their past 5 Premier League matches and kept clean sheets in the past 3, Newcastle are in top form right now. If you are looking for a cheaper, in-form option at the back, then look no further than Paul Dummett. At 4.3m he’s extremely affordable for Fantasy Premier League managers and will allow you to free up funds for some extra fire-power in other area of your team. Gameweek 13 takes Newcastle on a trip to London to face West Ham, and then on to Burnley for Gameweek 14. Both look like good prospects for Newcastle to continue their winning run of form. With key West Ham players such as Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Stewart Downing all facing late fitness tests in order to play, their attack could be rather understrength come kick off time.
3) Charlie Austin £5.9m (QPR)
After scoring 4 goals in Gameweeks 9,10 and 11 Charlie Austin was a man flying for QPR. It’s a shame the the international break came at such a time when they were just starting to find some form. But the fixture list is still looking kind to QPR to go on a run, despite last weeks setback at the hands of Newcastle. Gameweek 13 sees QPR entertain a goal shy Leicester City at home, followed by matches against Swansea (Away), Burnley (Home), Everton (Away) and West Brom (Home). If Austin can continue the form that saw him get goals against against Chelsea and Manchester City, then he could be a good short term transfer. At 5.9m his price is slowly rising but still a cheaper, ver affordable option up front.
