But don’t worry, there’s still a few more hours for you to back-flip on your player selections yet.
There have just been so many changes to the Premier League this summer; from José Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, to Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Crazy Money! But if there’s is one thing we learned from Leicester City’s title last season is, don’t write off the underdogs. The deadline for all your transfers, wildcards and captain nominations for Gameweek 1 is 11:30am (BST) on the 13th of August. Lets have a look at the top player tips for gameweek 1:

Top Player Tips

1) Sergio Agüero £13.0 (Man City)

Sergio Aguero Man City
A home match against Sunderland, who narrowly escaped relegation last season, would have been high up the list of best possible opening fixtures for Manchester City. Agüero has been gaining match fitness during pre-season and will lead the line for an attack minded Pep Guardiola side. Aguero is an FPL all time favourite, constantly performing at a high level and bringing in tones of points. His selection % is up to 42%, behind only David de Gea. Including Aguero in your team also means it’s easy enough to down grade your striker to any other player, should he get injured. Man City’s Gameweek 1 opponents Sunderland conceded an average of 2.21 goal per away match in the Premier League last season, so there is definitely goals in this one for City. Aguero is also our recommended pick for Captain for gameweek 1.

2) Christian Fuchs £5.5 (Leicester City)

Christian Fuchs Leicester
Our second tip for Gameweek 1 is Leicester City’s Austrian left fullback Christian Fuchs. The Premier League champions start their season away to newly promoted Hull City. Hull, who recently sacked their manager Steve Bruce, are off to a rocky start in the build up to their EPL return. Leicester City has the best away defensive record in the Premier League last season, conceding just 18 goals from their 19 away fixtures. This makes that a great clean sheet chance for the opening round. Fuchs also offer an assists chance down the flanks, so he’s in our picks of the gameweek. Leicester City ave alternating hard/easy games for the first third of the season, so you may want to use them in a rotation system.

3) Andre Gray £6.5 (Burnley)

Andre Gray Burnley
And lastly, our third and final player tip for gameweek 1 is Burnley striker Andre Gray. If you’re looking for a differential for gameweek 1, then for m player Gray is your guy. Gray has been on fire during pre-season, scoring in nearly every match Burnley have played. He’s coming off the back of a 25 goals season in the Championship where Burnley tool out the title. Burnley host Swansea City in their opening fixture of the season. Swansea have lost captain and center back Ashley Williams this summer, after his transfer to Everton, and have yet to reinforce their defense. Gylfi Sigurdsson is also not ready for a full 90 mins, so this will be a Swansea without a lot for their influential players. Last season Swansea conceded an average of 1.68 goal per away game, the 5th worst in the Premier League. Burnley have quite a difficult run of fixtures after this opening round, so if Andre Gray is going to make an early impact then this is the match for him.
