Fantasy Euro 2016 League Codes

There are just a few days until Euro 2016 kicks off in France on Friday the 10th of June, but there is still time to register a team on UEFA’s Official McDonald’s Euro 2016 Fantasy Football website. For all the fantasy league lovers out there struggling with no Premier League, this will help get you through the European summer. In order to play Fantasy Euro 2016 you will need to register and activate a UEFA.com account (it’s free) if you have not done so previously.

Clean sheets
A clean sheet is awarded for not conceding a goal whilst on the pitch and playing at least 60 minutes.

If a player has been substituted when a goal is conceded this will not affect any clean sheet bonus.

Squad Size

To join the game, select a squad of 15 players consisting of:
2 Goalkeepers
5 Defenders
5 Midfielders
3 Forwards

Budget

The total value of your initial squad must not exceed €100 million.

Players per team

You can select up to three players from a single team during the group phase. This will increase to four players for the round of 16, followed by five players for the quarter-finals, six for the semi-finals and eight for the final.

Managing Your Team


Choosing Your Starting XI

From your 15-player squad, select 11 players before the Matchday deadline.
All your points for the Matchday will be scored by these 11 players; if one or more doesn’t play then they may be automatically substituted with the players on the bench.
Your team can play in any formation providing that one goalkeeper, at least two midfielders, at least three defenders and at least one forward are selected at all times.

Selecting a Captain

From your starting XI you can select a player as a captain whose score will be doubled at the end of each matchday. If your captain does not play a minute then no player’s score will be doubled.

Substitutions

Manager substitutions

After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next matches start, you can:
Replace any player (unless they were sent off) with one from your bench whose team is yet to play
Change your captain (if he was not sent off) with a player from your squad whose team is yet to play
Players who are substituted out will score 0 points. The captain bonus will be lost from your original captain if a new captain is selected. Substitutions and captain changes can’t be cancelled once confirmed.
An unlimited number of manager substitutions can be made, although it is not possible to make them after games on the last day of the matchday as all fixtures will have been completed.
If a manager substitution or captain change is made, then no automatic substitutions will take place in your team that matchday.

Automatic substitutions

If no manager substitutions or captain changes are made, automatic substitutions will take place at the end of the matchday, when all fixtures have been played.
If your goalkeeper plays no part in the matchday, then your replacement goalkeeper will be substituted in, if he played in the matchday.
If any of your outfield players play no part in the matchday, then the game will try to substitute the inactive player for one of your replacements. This is done by replacing them with your highest priority substitute who who did play and doesn’t break the formation rules (e.g. If your starting team has three defenders, a defender can only be replaced by another defender). You can change your substitution priorities on the ‘My Team’ page.

Making Transfers

After selecting your squad, you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline and between group and knockout stages.
Only one transfer can be carried forward to the next matchday. No free transfers can be carried forward once the knockout phase begins.

Number of free transfers

Group stage: one per matchday
Round of 16: unlimited
Quarter-finals: 4
Semi-finals: 6
Final: 6
You are deducted four points for every transfer you make above the available free transfers for a matchday.

Player Prices

Player prices will change after the group stage depending on performance during the tournament.

Wildcard

The wildcard can be used to potentially make transfers free of charge.
It can be used only once throughout the tournament. The wildcard is played when confirming transfers that deduct points and can’t be cancelled once played.

Deadlines

All transfers must be made by the matchday deadline in order to take effect for that set of matches.
Deadlines are subject to change and will be at the time of kick-off of the first match of the matchday.
