Andre Gray £6.5m Burnley

Andre Gray Burnley
Andre Gray had a stellar season in the championship, finishing top scorer in the Championship with 25 goals from 42 starts. Burnley as an attacking team, scored equally the most goals out of any team in the Championship last season. This is a good indicator that they will create chances to be taken. But Gray is not just a goal machine as the main attacking threat for Burnley. As well as those 25 league goals, Gray also picked up 9 league assists last season too. Of Burnley’s 72 league goals, Gray either scored or assisted 34 of them. Burnley start their 2016/17 EPL campaign at home to Swansea City, who often struggled sway from home last season. Swansea conceded 32 goals from their 19 away matches last season, as opposed to the 20 goals they conceded from their 19 home matches. So a nice looking opening round for Gray. If you value form over fixtures, then Gray is the man for you – having scored nine goal in six pre-season matches this summer. Red hot & on fire right now!

Andy Carroll £6.5m West Ham

Andy Carroll £6.5m West Ham
At number two is West Ham’s towering Englishman Andy Carroll. With West Ham yet to sight a marque striker this summer, Andy Carroll looks set to lead the line as the Hammers’ first pick striker this season. At just £6.5m, Carroll will cost you just half that of Sergio Agüero. Carroll picked up 9 goals last season, which is quite impressive given the amount of time he spent on the treatment table. With the creativity of Dimitri Payet in midfield, there will be plenty of chances craeted for Carroll to take. (Dimitri Payet completed the most successful crosses in the EPL last season). That’s in addition to the wing play for new signing Sofiane Feghouli delivering quality balls in to the box. Carroll should have plenty of chances to get on the score sheet this season, if he can keep himself fit. Encouragingly Carroll has picked up a goals & an assist in pre-season matches so far, and looks to be coming in to the new season fully fit. Gameweeks 4-9 look to be encouraging for West Ham, where they will face; Watford (H), West Brom (A), Southampton (H), Middlesbrough (H), Crystal Palace (A), Sunderland (H).

Jordan Rhodes £6.0 Middlesbrough

Jordan Rhodes Middlesbrough
Another striker from one of the newly promoted clubs, Jordan Rhodes represents Middlesbrough’s best goal thread and chance for avoiding relegation back to the Championship. Jones has been a consistent start performer in the Championship, waiting for his time to set the Premier League alight. At Blackburn Rovers Rhodes scores more that 20 leagues goal a season for 3 consecutive seasons before the 2015/16 Campaign. Last season Jordan Rhodes finished with 16 goals to his name (7th best in the league) and was heading up to the Premier League with his new club Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough have arguable the best looking run of fixtures for the start of the 2016/17 Premier League season, facing Stoke (H), Sunderland (A), West Brom (A), Crystal Palace (H). The tone of their season may well be set in those first 4 matches.
